Engineer of assembly and commissioning of machinery

This position focuses on the installation and commissioning of automation equipment, and requires solid experience in PLC programming and electromechanical systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring correct machine commissioning both at Tavil's facilities and at the client's facilities, adhering to company guidelines and working closely with the Project Manager to achieve project objectives, as well as providing direct follow-up with the client when necessary.
Main Responsibilities:
● Execute machine configuration tasks, including PLC programming in Structured Text for major PLC systems (Rockwell, Siemens, Beckhoff, B&R).
● Configure communication buses, programming of Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) and network switches.
● Manage upstream and downstream interlocks with third-party equipment.
● Integrate automation peripherals such as labelers, checkweighers, barcode readers, and vision cameras.
● Interpret electrical schematics and ensure correct electrical configuration.
● Coordinate with company Project Managers and client supervisors to ensure timely and effective project execution.
● Participate in pre-commissioning activities at the company's headquarters and supervise the commissioning process at the client's facilities.
● Maintain close contact with the client during the commissioning phase at their facilities, to ensure the process runs smoothly and respond to their requests when necessary, after consulting with the Project Manager.
● Document configuration processes and provide training to operators and supervisors on equipment usage.
● Ensure that machines comply with safety standards.
Required Technical Experience:
● 2–3 years of experience in automation configuration.
● High proficiency in PLC programming in Structured Text.
● Experience with C++ programming, servomotors, and robotics (valued).
Education:
● University degree in engineering (Automation, Industrial, Electronics, or Industrial Automation).
● 2–10 years of post-graduation experience.
Languages:
● Italian (required)
● English (required)
Additional Requirements:
● Availability to travel frequently.
● Valid driver's license and passport.
